DEIR EZ-ZOR, Syria (September 14,2017) – The Russian submarines “Welikij Novgorod” and “Kolpino” have fired seven “Kalibr” type cruise missiles at IS positions in Syria, according to the Ministry of Defense of Russia.
“Seven cruise missiles have been fired from underwater at the terrorist positions. The target distance was 500 to 670 kilometres. According to the objective monitoring, all targets were hit,” says the Ministry.
Command posts, command posts, armaments and ammunition depots of the fighters in previously IS-controlled districts southeast of the town of Deir ez-Zor.
